The thirty-episode series dominated the Ramadan season for many years, but the list of 2026 works compiled by Al Jazeera Net showed a clear trend toward the fifteen-episode series.
Social works were strongly present in this format, including “Hekayet Narges”, “Al-Sit Mona Lisa”, “Manna'a”, “Tawabe'”, “Had Aqsa”, “Etnein Gheirna”, “El Lon El Azraq” and “Kan Ya Ma Kan”.
The short format was not limited to social drama: the list included comedy such as “Kollohom Bi Yehebbo Moody”, youth works such as “Bibo”, and “Taht El Hesar”, which deals with the Palestinian cause.
The report also notes a marked reliance on a new generation of young actors. One season's list is not enough to judge the future of this trend, but it shows that a series' length has become a wider choice than it used to be.
