There is no single agreed ranking of the best Ramadan series; each platform has its list and each survey its audience. But three works appeared at the top of more than one independent list during the 2026 season.
In the survey by the Public Opinion Research Center at Cairo University's Faculty of Mass Communication, conducted between 15 and 27 March 2026 on a sample of 1,100 participants, “Hekayet Narges” led viewership with 36.3%, and came second in the choice of best series with 15.3%, after “Ein Sehreya”. The series stars Reham Abdel Ghafour, is written by Ammar Sabry, and directed by Sameh Alaa in his first long TV work, and is inspired by a true story.
“Al-Sit Mona Lisa” came second in viewership in the same survey with 33.5%, and topped the viewing list on Shahid from its first week. The work stars Mai Omar, Ahmed Magdy and Sawsan Badr, is written by Mohamed Sayed Bashir, and directed by Mohamed Ali.
In the Gulf, “Sharie Al Asha 2” topped the list of most watched works on MBC Shahid. It is the second season of the series based on the novel “Gharamiyat Share' Al-Asha” by Badriah Albeshr, starring Elham Ali, Khaled Saqr, Aisha Kay and Lama Abdulwahab.
What the three works share is that they are social dramas led by female characters facing family and social pressure, which partly explains the audience's response to them.
